1645 3rd Ave. [multiple locations], 212/860-8060
The average age of the crowd at
Yura varies somewhere between 70 and six feet under. With more breathing
tubes and walkers per capita than any other restaurant in the city,
rumor has it that Yura actually stands for Youth Underage Restricted
Access. Whatever the reason for the proliferation of bluehairs,
Yura makes that gourmet brunch food and those early bird specials
that the old folks just love. The place is also decorated like Aunt
Milly's country kitchen, complete with painted wooden crafts and
doilies. Man, all that's missing is the massive console television
and that old chair that smells like grandpa. [MF]
