(Murray Hill 2) R, AM website 8 E 41st St., 212/696-5665 I hope to God this is the last Subway I ever have to review. Just thinking about the slimy turkey, semi-stale bread and limp lettuce is sending me into a boredom spiral. I remember back in the day Subway used to try to actually make a real sandwich. It's become a joke at this point; cutting the bottom line, cutting quantity and ignoring quality. They purport to be these great warriors of health, but are most certainly not the champions of taste. The scaffolding over the entrance didn't help, but this particular store is both shabby in its appearance and in its ability to make a sandwich taste like ass. Good riddance Subway, and don't let the door hit ya on the way to bankruptcy. [MF] |
