This lounge is a bit
of an anomaly. Surrounded by trendy bars packed with models, tiny
dives filled with polyester kids (whose idea of a shower is picking
the paint out of their hair) and dark, quaint hipster hangouts, this
large space is lively and packed with a bunch of U.E.S. kids who think
they're too cool for the U.E.S. Some liken it to a Houlihan's opening
in the middle of restaurant row. Others praise it as being a bit of
sunshine in an otherwise dark, dreary, malnourished, flammable scene.
We tend to go with the majority who say it's mellow but crowded, loud
but homey, and mostly a whole bunch of drunken fun. [MF] |
