Perched atop the balcony
overlooking Grand Central sits this cool steakhouse that seems to
have about as much to do with his Airness as Ronald Reagan Airport
has to do with our doddering ex-president. Part of the plan to class-up
this grand, old train station, the designers of Jordan's have added
a beautiful oval bar with high, padded seats surrounding it, all with
open views of the swirling pedestrian traffic and the super-high,
newly reconstructed constellation ceiling. The place is packed with
lunching suits during the day, and those same suits (possibly with
ties removed) after work. Despite the formalwear, the crowd seems
more business than pick-up, and the drinks won't break the bank. Of
course, why do you really go to a steakhouse? Steak, man. And we hear
that they serve a mean one. Hmm, good food, good drinks, nice surroundings--sounds
like a winner (just like #23). [MF]
