Mercury Bar has a fresh feel to it. I'm not really sure what that means, but the joint has an energy about it. Granted, we were there on the later side and the patrons were pretty much all wrecked. Maybe it's the huge television screens that bring you The Yanks in their life-size splendor, or the bright red banquet tables, but the place brings it all together for what amounts to a pretty good time. We didn't eat anything from the the eclectic, Mexican-tinged menu, but word has it that most everything is tasty and goes well with beer (what doesn't, really?) It's simple, it's good after a long day of work and it has beer. [MF]
