Japanese restaurants
in the 70's on the UES are more numerous than mustaches at a Bills
game. Although the sushi at Kan Pai is remarkably good for just being
another neighborhood restaurant, but it sure ain't cheap. You'd think
with all the competition the place would try to at least make their
prices lower, or trade in their horrible 1982 Arby's tabletops for
something a little more adult. Testament to this is the fact our party
of nine had no problem getting a table at 8PM on a Saturday night
with a reservation. Maybe they're growing poppies in the back or something.
