Who
wouldn't be thrilled with the promise of all-you-can-eat meat (aside
from those pesky vegans, vegetarians, PETA members, Hindus, etc.)?
Well, those Brazilians certainly have an affinity for the stuff in
any and every conceivable variety. Pig? They got it. Lamb? They love
it. Chickens? Finger lickin' right they serve it. Turkey? Yup, and
it's wrapped in pig. Cow? And how! And let's not forget our sea living
friends, as there's even some delicious salmon with cream sauce, not
to mention shrimp, octopus, and a bunch of sushi if you have the room.
This is the place to go with a large group, as there is a nice prix
fixed deal that doesn't involve any kind of menu, and thus avoids
the inevitable hold-up over the picky guy who doesn't know what to
order. A huge salad bar (that encompasses a lot more than salad) adorns
the middle of the huge, nicely decorated space. Go there first to
get some greens and other non-red meat samples, but save room (you
won't regret skipping that third tuna roll.) Then the waiters descend
upon you with their skewers of meat. They give you a little disk that
is green on one side and red on the other, so you can stop the onslaught
at any point to take a breather. We dare you to go through an entire
meal without going red. We dare you. Everything is delicious, everything
is rare (if you like it that way) and everything is sure to make your
experience a good time. [MF]
