Smack dab in the middle
of the swirling crowds of Grand Central and the gateway to Midtown,
the Metlife building, lies this rather large French bistro-type restaurant.
Filled at lunchtime with twosomes and foursomes murmuring about buying
and selling, marketing and projected figures, this is the business
lunch master's dream. The location couldn't be more convenient. The
menu couldn't be more varied and filled with French words (that just
means it's pricier.) And the decor couldn't be more power-lunchy and
international. On top of that, the waitstaff is extremely attentive,
the food actually reaches your table in a decent amount of time, and
they give you a big baguette to munch on before your food arrives.
The portions are certainly adequate, and the food is straightforward
and tasty. So, put on your suit and head on over to the "I just came
into town for a meeting before getting back on the train to Westchester"
restaurant. [MF]
