[CLOSED] R, B 224 W. 49th St., 212/333-7749 The night we showed up for a party here we were greeted by a couple dudes sporting some serious plumber cracks. They were there drilling out the old locks on the doors and replacing them with some brand new industrial looking mechanisms. Needless to say, I don't think the manager or owner of 7Square were given a copy of the new keys. The closing must have been quite abrupt, as the person who made our reservation had been contacted to confirm her reservation only the night before. Reading up on the place it doesn't sound like we missed much. We did, however, get treated with all sorts of help and respect by the staff of The Time hotel upstairs when we had nowhere to go. Notice the dripping sarcasm? Yeah, neither did they. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this disaster of a joint. [MF] |
